About the foundation
A foundation of the village, working within it.
Chevuru Sha Foundation was established in 2026 by residents of Chevuru who had spent years helping neighbours privately — a hospital bill here, a school fee there — and decided the work deserved a structure, a record and an open account. The foundation is governed by a three-member board and run day to day by volunteers from the village.
We help three groups above all: children without family support, elders living alone, and people whose illness has taken away their ability to earn. Around them sits our longer work — schools, skills and the village economy — because relief that is not followed by opportunity has to be given again next year.

Educational support
School and college fees, books, uniforms, tuition and exam coaching for students at risk of dropping out.
Motivational support
Mentoring, career guidance and sessions with people from similar villages who have gone further.
Financial support when needed
Direct assistance to families facing medical emergencies, crop loss or the death of an earning member.
Better schools
Sports grounds, equipment, libraries and classroom repair, so rural schools can compete on equal terms.
Technology and skills
Computer literacy, internet safety, spoken English and pathways into technical work for students and adults.
Work for those without it
Trade training, tool support and introductions to employers for unemployed men and women in the village.
Community and economy
Meetings where residents learn what is happening around them, how the local economy works, and how to grow it together.
Care for elders
Companionship, medicines, pension paperwork and regular visits to old-age residents living alone.
Children without family
Shelter, schooling and guardianship for orphaned children, kept as close to their own community as possible.
Health access
Screening camps, medicine assistance and help navigating district hospitals for people with long-term illness.
Women's participation
Self-help groups, savings discipline and micro-enterprise support for women who want to earn independently.
Open accounts
Every rupee received and spent, published annually to donors and read out in the village.
Governance
The board meets quarterly and approves every grant above a set threshold. Accounts are maintained by an external accountant and reported each financial year.
