Our vision

Empowering lives, building communities, creating a better tomorrow.

Chevuru Sha Foundation works in and around the village of Chevuru with children who have lost family support, with elders living alone, and with families carrying the weight of illness. We stand beside village students with education, encouragement and, when the moment demands it, money.

01

Education

Fees, books, uniforms and exam coaching for students who would otherwise stop studying.

02

Community

Village meetings, self-help groups and plain explanations of the schemes families are entitled to.

04

Empowerment

Computer literacy, spoken English and skill training that open work to those without it.

05

Service

Care for elders living alone and shelter for children without family, in the village itself.

Our mission

To empower village life and village students, and to make them ready for a bright future.

Education is where most of our work begins, but rarely where it ends. A student who needs tuition often needs a mentor, a hospital visit paid for, or a mother who has been shown how to open a bank account. We work with the whole household, and with the school, the elders and the panchayat around it.

Our second aim is the village economy. When people understand how money moves through their community — what is earned, what leaves, what could stay — they make different decisions. We hold sessions on livelihoods, savings and self-employment, and we help those without work find it.

One village, and the hamlets around it

We have chosen depth over reach. Everything the foundation does happens within a few kilometres of Chevuru, where the board knows every household it is accountable to.
